Gholdengo ex, Hoopa ex, and More Cards Revealed from SV3a ‘Raging Surf’! Multiple Secret Rare cards revealed!

Gholdengo ex, Hoopa ex, Garchomp ex SAR and more cards were revealed from the upcoming set SV3a ‘Raging Surf’ which will be released on September 22, 2023, at 180 yen/booster pack. This set will only have 62 cards featuring Garchomp ex with Water Tera-type and Froslass ex with Grass Tera-type.

Gholdengo ex

Ability - Bonus Coins

Once during your turn, you may draw 1 card. If this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, draw 2 cards instead.

M - Gold Rush 50x

Discard any number of Basic Energy cards from your hand. This attack does 50 damage for each card discarded this way.

C - Call for Family

Search your deck for 1 Basic Pokémon and put it onto your Bench. Then shuffle your deck.

CC - Corkscrew Punch 20

Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 20 damage for each heads.

This attack does 50 damage for each Energy attached to all of your opponent's Pokémon.

This Pokemon can’t use Rouge Fist during your next turn.

What do you guys think of these cards? I think Gholdengo can be a great draw engine while also trying to attack with it. You can try to incorporate Eldegoss to have maximum damage potential most of the time. Hoopa ex, on the other hand, is a bit weird because it has Psychic-type weakness where we already know, it is very bad in the current format. I hope we get to see more of this card in action once we have more top-tier decks that rely on Pokemon that is weak to Fighting-type so Hoopa ex may get a chance to be played. We also get to see a bunch of secret rares starting from Garchomp ex Special Art Rare which was very cool and Parasol Lady where it may fetch quite a price in Japan.
