New Japanese Set SV3a ‘Raging Surf’ Revealed! Another Pokemon ex with different Tera-type!

Pokemon Japan officially revealed the upcoming set with the SV3a code and named, ‘Raging Surf’ which will be released on September 22, 2023, at 180 yen/booster pack. This set will only have 62 cards featuring Garchomp ex with Water Tera-type and Froslass ex with Grass Tera-type. This time, Pokemon Japan officially revealed Garchomp ex, Froslass ex, and many more cards during the Worlds 2023 live stream.

 

Here are the details of the cards revealed:

Garchomp ex

F - Hydro Lander 160

Attach up to 3 Fighting Energy from your discard pile to your Benched Pokemon in any way you like.

 

CC - Sonic Dive

Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon. This attack does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)


Gabite

F - Power Blast 50

Discard an Energy from this Pokémon.


Gible

F - Bite 20


Froslass ex

Ability - Out of Reach

When this Pokémon is in the Active Spot and is Knocked Out, flip a coin. If heads, your opponent takes 1 less Prize card for that Knock Out.

 

WW - Frost Bullet 140

This attack does 20 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon.


Snorunt

W -  Ice Shard 10+

If your opponent’s Active Pokémon is a Fighting Pokémon, this attack does 30 more damage.


Groudon

C - Overpower

Attach a Basic Fighting Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon.

 

FFC - Magma Purge

You may discard up to 4 Energy from your Pokémon. This attack does 60 damage for each card discarded in this way.


TM Energy Turbo

Item

Search your deck for up to 2 Basic Energy cards and attach them to your Benched Pokemon in any way you like.


TM Sneak Attack

Item

This attack does 100 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon with any damage counters on it. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)


Rika

Supporter

Looks at the top 4 cards of your deck and put 2 of them into your hand. Then, shuffle the other 2 cards and put them on the bottom of your deck.


Larry

Supporter

Flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for up to 2 Pokemon and put them into your hand. If tails, search your deck for up to 2 Basic Pokemon and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.


What do you guys think of this set? I think this set can be a very fun set to look for because we may get a very interesting supporting Pokemon for the current top-tier deck. Let’s just wait and see what the set brings us!
