Pokemon Card Game Japan revealed more cards for the upcoming SV4K ‘Ancient Roar’ and SV4M ‘Future Flash’ which will be released on October 27, 2023. This set will have 66 cards for each set and will feature Paradox Pokemon with either Ancient or Future mechanics. This time, Pokemon revealed the elemental monkey trios along with their evoline while also revealing new Tool card which may be useful in a tanky deck.

SV4K Ancient Roar
Simisage
Ability - Monkey Trio
If you have Simisage, Simisear, and Simipour in play, ignore all Colorless Energy in the attack cost of attacks this Pokémon uses.
GCC - Arm Thrust Needle 100
During your opponent’s next turn, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from Pokémon that have an Ability, except any Simisage.
Pansage
C - Call for Family
Search your deck for a Basic Pokémon and put it onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck.
GCC - Leech Seed 30
Heal 10 damage from this Pokémon.
Defiance Vest
Tool
If you have more Prize cards remaining than your opponent, the Pokémon this card is attached to takes 40 less damage from attacks from your opponent’s Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
SV4M ‘Future Flash’
Simisear
Ability - Monkey Trio
If you have Simisage, Simisear, and Simipour in play, ignore all Colorless Energy in the attack cost of attacks this Pokémon uses.
RCCC - Heat Tackle 190
This Pokémon also does 30 damage to itself.
Pansear
C - Call for Family
Search your deck for a Basic Pokémon and put it onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck.
RCC - Searing Flame 20
Your opponent’s Active Pokémon is now Burned.
Simipour
Ability - Monkey Trio
If you have Simisage, Simisear, and Simipour in play, ignore all Colorless Energy in the attack cost of attacks this Pokémon uses.
WCC - Insulting Shower 50
This attack also does 30 damage to each of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Panpour
C - Call for Family
Search your deck for a Basic Pokémon and put it onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck.
WCC - Water Pulse 30
Your opponent’s Active Pokémon is now Asleep.
What do you guys think of these cards? I think we can get a really fun deck using these monkey trios because of their ability. We also get another tanky Tool card which may be a great card to have if you play damage reduction deck. I think we are starting to get into the fun part of the Scarlet and Violet TCG era with more unique cards being revealed. Let’s wait and see!
