Regidrago Exploding Energy (Primer/Write Up)
Deck Primer
Regidrago's Dragon Party & Forretress Brings the Energies
Gameplan
Use Forretress ex's ability Exploding Energy to set up the energies for the Regidragos
Discard the various dragon Pokemon so Regidrago VSTAR can use the attack Apex Dragon to copy any of the dragon pokemon's attacks in the discard.
SET UP
First turn
Set up Pineco & multiple Regidrago Vs on the bench.
Find Squawkabilly ex's ability Squak & Seize to discard your hand and draw 6 cards.
Discard other non Regidrago Pokemon.
Second turn
Evolve Pineco into Forretress ex and use Exploding Energy to attach 5 Grass energies to your Pokemon. Usually you will put 2 Grass Energy on each Regidrago V/VSTAR.
CAUTION - Exploding Energy will knock out the Forrtress ex and will allow your opponent to take 2 prize cards.
Evolve Regidrago V into Regidrago VSTAR and use the VSTAR ability Legacy Star to discard the top 7 cards of your deck and put 2 cards from the discard into your hand.
Use Regidrago VSTAR's attack Apex Dragon to copy any of the dragon pokemon's attacks in the discard.
Late Game
Use Radiant Charizard as a low energy single prize attacker to swing the prize advantage back to your favor.
ATTACKS
Covert Flight - Good against decks that have only basic Pokemon or prioritize basic Pokemon. (Ex. Lost Zone, Ting-Lu, United Wings, Miraidon & Regis.)
Dominating Echo - Good against decks that only use special energy or decks that run off rule box Pokemon abilities. You can play Path to the Peak and your opponent can't play a stadium to remove it on their turn. (Ex. Lugia, Mew, Gardevoir, Chien-Pao Baxcalibur, Inteleon Urshifu & Zoroark Box.)
Rolling Iron - Good general attack, reduces damage by 80 during your opponents turn making it difficult to knock out Regidrago VSTAR.
Lost Impact - Good against high HP Pokemon. The downside of the attack is you need to send 2 energies from any of your Pokemon to the Lost Zone. Only use if you need an important knock out.
G-Max Pulverization - Good Pokemon that have abilities or effects that prevent damage from Regidrago VSTAR. (Ex. Miltank (Astral Radiance) and Mimikyu (Paldea Evolved))
Dragon Laser - Good attack to deal damage to the active Pokemon and 30 damage to a bench Pokemon.

Pros & Cons of the Deck
Pros
Great versatile deck for the current standard meta. (Lost Zone, Mew, Lugia, Ting-Lu, United Wings, Miraidon, Chien-Pao Baxcalibur& Inteleon Urshifu)
Multiple helpful attacks from a variety of Dragon Pokemon.
Disrupts opponent's hands, removes rule box Pokemon's abilities and prevents attacks of Basic Pokemon.
Tanky Pokemon that is difficult to knock out.
Not 100% reliant on Pokemon abilities, you can still set up Regidrago VSTAR without using it's own and Forretress ex abilities.
Dragon Pokemon currently do not have a weakness to other Pokemon types.
Future new and potentially powerful Dragon Pokemon can be added to the deck.
Cons
Reliant on setting up, very difficult to win the game if you are not set up properly.
You have to go down 2 prizes when you use Forretress ex's ability Exploding Energy, giving your opponent the prize advantage.
Path to the Peak or other cards that prevent you from using Forretress ex's Exploding Energy or Regidrago VSTAR's Legacy Star if you are depending on needing them to set up.
Prizing specific Dragon Pokemon or not being able to get them into the discard lowers your chance of winning against certain decks.
Running out of resources (Trainers & Energies) to set up.
The deck really needs to go first on the first turn of the game. You can still go second but being able to evolve first in the game is very important.
