Maushold's Poison Party
Deck Primer
Poisonous Maushold!!
Main goal of the deck is to win by forcing your opponent to either die to 50 dmg poison + Nom-Nom-Nom Incisors or kill themselves off of your Mausholds. Arven and Double Turbo Energy are integral to the strategy, I'd highly recommend keeping them, as well as Energy Loto, at 4 for consistencies sake. As a quick side note, while I don't currently run it, you may want to consider slotting in Manaphy to prevent your benched Tandemaus from being easily popped by attacks that can target benched pokemon.
Maushold EX / Tandemaus
Primary strat, stack as many of these on board as possible but make sure to leave room for Clodsire & Sneasler
Bombirdier
Extremely strong setup, turn 1 can setup two Tandemaus & Wooper or Tandemaus, Wooper & Sneasler depending on what you need. Turn 2 attach Technical Machine: Evolution, evo up a Tandemaus & Wooper. If you don't have or don't need to use Technical Machine: Evolution throw out Shadowy Wind turn 2 to scoop up all the energy, kick-off the Maushold EX wall, free up a spot for another Tandemaus & pop an opponent's small basic for an early prize.
Paldean Wooper / Paldean Clodsire EX
Wooper can search Perilous Jungle if need be, but the primary usage is to evolve into Clodsire asap and then continuously apply poison to your opponent's active while Perilous Jungle is on board.
Radian Hisuain Sneasler
Extra stacking damage counters to poison on top of Perilous Jungle.
Arven
For searching Technical Machine: Evolution or Rocky Helmet & whatever item is needed at the time. Integral to seeing the pieces you need and can be used to search Secret Box if you have a dead hand.
Professor's Research
Great generic hand recycling (or just net cards if low on hand). Fantastic option for digging for missing pieces if you're bricking.
Iono
Hand refresh for more digging & disruption for your opponent.
Boss's Orders
Wins games, swap a 1 prize in for an easy kill when it's a win-con or any weakened pokemon your opponent retreats.
Nest Ball
Searches more Tandemaus or any missing basic such as Sneasler, Wooper or even Bombirdier if you didn't draw it in opening and still want to utilize it's basic search.
Feather Ball
Searches Maushold EX for free as it's retreat cost is 0.
Energy Loto
Searches top 7 for any energy, use this to dig for Double Turbo Energy to get your Maushold's Nom-Nom-Nom Incisor live immediately.
Buddy-Buddy Poffin
Can search missing basics just like Nest Ball (excluding Sneasler or Bombirdier) but mainly used to stack more Tandemaus on board.
Hisuain Heavy Ball
Basics are super important in this deck, especially Tandemaus. This will prevent you from getting prize screwed out of multiple Tandemaus, Sneasler, Bombirdier, Wooper, etc.
Super Rod
Used to throw back Tandemaus/Maushold EX's when they inevitably die to be recycled but can also be used if your opponent pops Sneasler or you need to return some Dark Energy back to deck.
Pokégear 3.0
Arven is integral to searching pieces, Pokégear 3.0 gives you a second chance at seeing Arven if you're whiffing or an Iono if you're behind and need some disruption.
Secret Box
An extremely strong item in this deck. Average search is: Perilous Jungle (Stadium), Energy Loto (Item), Arven (Supporter), Rocky Helmet (Tool) which sets you up to do pretty much anything the deck needs to do to succeed. If early game and you need Clodsire/Maushold EX, search Technical Machine: Evolution instead of Rocky Helmet and if you need basics set up search Buddy-Buddy Poffin instead of Energy Loto. Feel free to discard extra Bombirdier's as cost as you're likely to draw a few. Secret Box is extremely versatile and very strong in this deck, it can single-handedly turn a dead hand around without issue. As a side note, don't forget it is searchable via Arven.
Perilous Jungle
Just like Sneasler, this adds an extra 2 poison damage counters per turn adding up to 5 total counters per turn with Sneasler also on board. This adds up quickly when combining it with Nom-Nom-Nom Incisor's 120 (100 with Double Turbo Energy), Maushold EX's ability throwing 3 damage counters on to your opponents attacking pokemon (when doing damage) for each Maushold/Tandemaus and Rocky Helmet throwing an extra 2 damage counters on top of everything. It's important to try to keep this on board as much as possible, if your opponent plays a stadium over it try to get it back asap.
Technical Machine: Evolution
This is a great tool to attach to Bombirdier, especially if you've used it's attack turn 1 to get 3 basics on board. I would recommend using this to, at least, evolve Clodsire if you can and haven't seen one yet. You only need one Clodsire, but there is no other search outside of raw drawing for Clodsire in-deck. Regardless of that, I haven't had issues hitting Clodsire due to Technical Machine: Evolution. As a side note, this is searchable by Arven.
Rocky Helmet
Adds even more damage counters (2) to throw out when your opponent attacks your Maushold EXs. As a side note, this is searchable by Arven.
Note about Energy Types
Mist - Shuts down effects from Pokemon attacks that would otherwise be heavy impact such as Dragapault EX's Phantom Dive.
Jet - Especially solid for if you whiff Bombirdier on opening hand but get a Nest Ball or other search. You can play the Bombirdier and just Jet Energy it to active and still go off as it fulfills Bombirdier's attack cost.
Double Turbo - Makes Maushold live with just 1 energy card, helps to get to Bombirdier's Shadowy Wind & Clodsire's Needle Bone faster when necessary.
Remember all energy is searchable by Energy Loto, including the special energy, have fun!
