Claydoll one shot deck
Deck Primer
I haven't tried this deck out in a real game, but this is what I have designed so far. Feedback would be appreciated.
The point of this deck is to get one hit prize cards using Claydol's Kaboom Doll attack, which makes the opposing pokemon have 10 hp remaining at the cost of giving itself enough damage for a knockout. Protection Cube prevents that damage, allowing it to live.
The opposing pokemon can be finished off in a number of ways:
*Hypnotoxic laser is the main way, poisoning the opponent to give that final 10 damage.
*Hisuin Typhlosion can use its Supernatural Orb as a pseudo hypnotoxic laser, buring and confusing instead of poisoning and asleeping.
*Froslass is meant to give that last 10 damage if the opposing pokemon has any way of canceling special conditions, but you have to be careful, as it can damage your pokemon as well as the opponent's. Radiant Tsareena is meant to mitagate this damage.
Florges is meant to drag out bench sitters without using a supporter card, which is why the deck only has 2 Boss's Orders cards. Manaphy protects the bench from most forms of damage except the placing of damage counters. If needed, Jirachi 126/182 could be used for full protection.
Super Rod can be used to get back any defeated Claydol. Fog Crystal is the most prevalent search card, as it can be used to get energy or pokemon. Training Court gets back energy from Hisuin Typhlosion's ability. Most of the trainer cards' purposes are fairly self-explainatory.
Cards that could be added:
* Ariados 6/98. It allows you to poison both active pokemon, and could replace Hisuin Typhlosion if you need deck space. The main problem of this pokemon is that it doesn't work on grass pokemon, which makes it fairly ineffective against grass decks. Additionally, it hurts your own pokemon as well. The flip side is that it doesn't need you to discard energy.
* Jirachi 126/182 This gives protection against damage counters being placed, but would cost a bench space for it.
* Hero's Cape This could be useful to help Claydol live longer, but it's most likely going to be oneshot anyway after it uses its attack, so it doesn't have much of a point.
* Shedinja 066/185 This has the same attack as Claydol, but it costs 2 more energy and doesn't damage itself. However, Shell Survival requires it to be setup in a certain way to use it, and would use more deck space. Also, it only has 30 hp.
