This deck is designed to go second. On your first turn going second, you want to get atleast 2 basics down that can evolve, TM Evolution, and a Fire energy to attatch to the basic in the active. There are many ways to do this, but the most straightforward is to use an Arven on your first turn to get a VIP pass and the TM. Ideally you want a charmander in the active as it is KO'd easily, which allows you to Mela for the energy back and allows the use of Defiance band. Turn two, you can evolve straight into a Charizard or a Pidgeot without having to worry about TM Devolution. Moltress can get key KOs for you early game on most relevant big basics like Miraidon, as Charizard ex OBF's Burning Darkness attack does 210 if your opponent has taken 1 prize. It can also help Charizard ex 151 hit 340 to take KOs on bulkier Stage 2 ex's.
This is a concept i've been trying out with proxies, and so far it's given me relative success. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
