BeedrillV&Spidops Sting and Retreat
Deck Primer
Believe it or not, this deck has been fairing me rather well against all matchups! Havent seen many or any Beedrill decks on Live so here ya go. Struggles against turbo decks since there may be a slow start-up with the Beedrill's but do not underestimate the Swarming Sting! **DECK FOR POST-ROTATION STANDARD FORMAT**
Beedrill V of course is your main Pokemon here. Starting with its first attack for only 1 Energy, it can one-shot lots of basic Pokemon on 2nd turn active slot. The only downside is you'll have to get 2 Heads on Coin Flip to get that 80 damage in... RNG am I right!?! What can go wrong? Once you have 3 Energy and your beedrill's down... START STINGING THAT BACKROW!! Choose the opponents active if needed of course but you get the picture here. The deck funny enough can ez beat that slow-ass Arcanine Ex deck and can kick Lunatone's butt. Again, the Coin Flips can make or break the early game. Remember to recycle a knocked-out Beedrill with Klara and Adventure's Discovery is your best friend here for turn 2 ALL Bedrill V's out. If they have Manaphy, just Boss Order/Escape Rope it out or just attack the active Pokemon/switch out your Spidops/SingleStrike Bedrill.
Spidops helps with the slow start-up if evolved quickly and can be super cucky against decks that retreat a bunch (Like Lunatone). Also, Spidos attack (90Base damage) requires only 2 Energy so can make for a quick turn 2 knockouts especially with a good draw using Gardenia's Vigor. Overall, I think Spidops is a great backup.
You will notice that the Single Strike Beedrill's are here as well. They are perfect for 1 Shot of any Pokemon with Special Energy which can be often. The only thing is you'll need Rare Candy so evolving that quickly and saving it for the perfect moment helps. The base attack is 110 for 1 Energy so can easily help finish off damaged Pokemon.
Kricketune is here for the ability of course which provides +40 HP to all grass Pokemon which is great for Beedrill's to sting as much as possible!
Lastly, I put 2 Temple of Sinnoh and 2 Path to the Peak because it has proved to slow down the opponent (sometimes even shutting down) enough to start your Beedrill engine going. Be careful benching your Pokemon! Make sure to have room for 3 Beedrill V's.
Deck for sure can use some tweaking to make it less brick-able. The consistency is a bit off at times(bricks will happen, careful if you want to play ranked) but fair enough.
New to PTCG, always open for suggestions!
EDIT: Switched 1 Temple of Sinnoh for 1 Earthen Seal Stone Trainer for Beedrill V.. kinda dirty.
Embrace the Swarming Sting!
