Raichu, Kabutops, Omastar, and Other Cards Revealed from the Upcoming SV2a ‘Pokemon Card 151’! Weakness x4!!!

Pokemon Card Game Japan officially revealed Raichu, Pikachu and Onix from their upcoming set SV2a ‘‘Pokemon Card 151’. This set will be released in Japan on June 16, 2023, with 165 cards in the set before Art Rare, Super Art Rare, and so on (Secret Rares rarity is still unconfirmed), and will cost 290 yen per booster pack but with 7 cards inside. However, besides the official reveal, some people in Japan manage to get an early look at the Kabutops and Omastar evoline that seems to be in a display frame for an exhibition. Please take this with a grain of salt as the Kabutops and Omastar evolines are not revealed officially.

Within this set, Pokemon introduced new Pokemon ex, including Alakazam ex with the long-awaited Kadabra, Mew ex, and of course the OG Kanto starters, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Also, their card number reflects their number of Pokedex so we likely get to see all of the Generation 1 Pokemon here.

Here are the details for each card that has been revealed today:

What do you guys think of these cards? I think Kabutops can be a very interesting addition to some counter decks as you can rely on its 4x weakness so you can OHKO your opponent. On the other hand, Omastar can be a great control deck as you can trap your opponent while sniping. But still, stage-2 Pokemon seems to be a little out of reach right now unless we have a great engine or support card that can make stage-2 Pokemon great again.
