Pokemon Card Game Japan just announced that they will be having a rotation and a new rule starting January 20, 2023. First, the Standard rotation will happen in Japan on January 20, 2023, where the D block will not be available for Standard and the block that will be available are the E, F, and G blocks.
Then, there is a change for the Pokemon Tool. As you guys may know, Pokemon Tool is considered a Pokemon Item. However, after rotation and the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pokemon Tool will be a separate category for Trainer. This means that cards like Mew from Celebrations will not able to pick up Pokemon Tool. PokeStop also won’t be able to pick up Pokemon Tool so it will be discarded as well. All of this will also be applied to the existing Pokemon Tool.
What do you guys think of this update? There is still no info regarding rotation and regulation updates for the International consumer and I will post it once it’s released. I really like to see how Pokemon Tool regulation will affect the game completely because it seems it will be very hard for us to pick up Pokemon Tool unless we use Oranguru V, Tool Box, or draw it straight using draw supporter.
