Pokemon has announced that they will be having mass outbreaks of Voltorb and Foongus throughout the Paldea Region on special mass outbreaks. In these outbreaks, Shiny Voltorb and Shiny Foongus are more likely to appear while some lucky Trainers can also encounter a mystery Pokemon which also resembles a Poke Ball. These outbreaks will start from Friday, February 23, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 23:59 UTC. 

For those who don’t know, mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. During limited-time mass outbreak events, certain Pokémon will become more likely to appear.
