Arceus VSTAR (Brilliant Stars) decks have been pretty dominant throughout the format for awhile now but you usually see him paired with Pokémon such as Inteleon (Sword & Shield) , Flying Pikachu VMAX (Celebrations) , or Malamar VMAX (Rebel Clash) . Today however, I present to you the “Creator of all Pokémon” paired with everyone’s favorite Anger Management Dragon Charizard VSTAR (Brilliant Stars) !
This deck is a powerhouse once you get it up and running. Starting with an Arceus and being able to power up a benched Charizard VStar is exactly where I believe this deck wants to be. Charizard VStar’s Powerful VStar Power "Star Blaze" is strong enough to knock out some Pokémon Vmax’s with just one hit! Especially with an attached Choice Belt (Astral Radiance)
Magma Basin (Brilliant Stars) is a staple in this deck due to its ability to regain your fire energies. With Welder (Unbroken Bonds) no longer being in the format fire decks have been put on the back burner. However, this one in particular is definitely still viable even in the water-based format we are currently in. One reason for this is the inclusion of the one of Dunsparce from Fusion Strike. Quick Ball (Sword & Shield) into a Dunsparce may be just what you need to fight off the growing Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR (Astral Radiance) decks that have been dominating the format.
The one of Piers (Darkness Ablaze) is definitely a flex slot in the deck and I only included it to search up a fire energy and a Crobat V (Darkness Ablaze) for card draw.
Lastly, the Heat Fire Energy (Darkness Ablaze) special ability can give Charizard 300 HP which puts him up there in the rankings with most of the Vmax’s in the format. Additonally, this extra 20 hp can help offset the 20 damage taken by regaining a fire energy from your Magma Basins.
