You will be given a serial code for a special Hisuian Zoroark that has 3 special features if you purchase The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC by Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The Hisuian Zoroark will know the move Happy Hour, which it cannot learn through normal gameplay, along with Tera Blast, Bitter Malice, and Nasty Plot. It will also have the Charismatic Mark and a Dark Tera Type.

Moving on to the DLC itself, in Part 1: The Teal Mask, you as the player will be chosen as one of the students that will go on a school trip to the land of Kitakami. Kitakami is a land that has great mountain towers over the land itself while people live at its base. This time, your trip seems to coincide with a festival regularly held in the village so you will be seeing the village bustling with various street vendors and stalls. You will also put on a traditional jinbei outfit and take part in the festival that’s held annually there.

Then in Part 2: The Indigo Disk, you will be studying abroad at your academy’s sister school, the Blueberry Academy, as an exchange student. However, unlike the regular academies, the Blueberry Academy is located under the ocean. Yes! UNDER THE OCEAN. You will take part in classes, interact with the students there, and experience school life in this new and unusual academy.

You will also get the chance to encounter new characters in both DLC. So far, there will be 2 new characters that you can encounter in both Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk, which are Kieran and Carmine, a brother and sister pair who call Kitakami home and they also attend the Blueberry Academy as students. Carmine, the elder sister of the pair, is a strong-willed character and can be a little selfish sometimes. Then, her little brother, Kieran, is a quiet boy and has a gentle nature. He often hides behind his big sister and Carmine herself always looks out for her little brother.

In both DLC, you will be able to encounter over 230 Pokemon that have been found living in the other regions but have yet to appear in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (the number stated includes Pokémon that you will be able to bring to your game via Pokémon HOME or receive in trades). You will also encounter a new Legendary Pokemon, Ogerpon in Part 1: The Teal Mask and Terapagos in Part 2: The Indigo Disk. You will also encounter 3 new Pokemon in Part 1: The Teal Mask which is named Okidogi, Munkidor, and Fezandipiti. It is known that they are beloved by the people of the village as heroes that protected the land of Kitakami in the past.

What do you guys think of this DLC? I really looking forward to what Part 1: The Teal Mask brings us because we can at least experience a festive environment once in a while. On the other hand, I think I’m quite disappointed to see the second DLC is only about an exchange between schools. But I guess, that’s still beyond reasonable because the concept of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet themselves is a school.
