On today’s Pokemon Presents, Pokemon officially announced a new product called Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic (Pokémon TCG Classic). Pokémon TCG Classic is a luxury Pokémon TCG set designed to endure a lifetime, created as a cooperation between The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc., and design firm Nendo. Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic includes everything fans need to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, including preconstructed decks and gaming accessories that have been carefully created to be both beautiful and functional in order to give a refined battle experience.
For the sales themselves, the English one will be available in the Pokemon Center and at local game stores in late 2023 but there’s still no pre-order date until now. However, Japan confirmed that they will sell this product using a lottery system at Pokemon Center Online and Nendo House starting February 28, 2023, and will be planned to be released after late October 2023. The product itself also only release in 4 languages which are, Japanese, English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic will come in an ALL-IN-ONE box that will become a storage and playmat too. Inside, you will get 3 60-card decks, 3 flip deck boxes, 3 card sleeves (64 sheets), and a toolbox which can be used to hold damage counters, Special Conditions marker, & flipping coins (more on this later on).

More on the toolbox, besides that it can be used for storage, you can use it to flip coins. The design has a unique mechanism which is quite similar to roulette where you can roll a small ball to a pathway and the ball will go into either 4 holes where 2 holes will have a white mark which indicates heads and 2 non-marked which indicates tails.

As for the damage counters, they will have a different design which is not a dice or a coin piece but a cone-shaped one where you can stack it. The Special Conditions marker will also have a 3D design.

But what about the decks? The deck itself will be a combination of the Base Set Kanto starters, some of the old-era cards, and some modern new cards which we even haven’t seen before. However, these cards are limited to only this product as they don’t have any regulation mark so you won’t be playing it in the Standard or Expanded format.
Here are the image details for all of the products including the revealed cards:

What do you guys think of this product? I think this is a very great product that is released by Pokemon because you can now not worry about your cards being out of rotation as these decks will have their own regulation. You also get to have an all-in-one storage where you can store all your cards and counters. I think this is a great product if you just want to play casual Pokemon with your family or with your friends.
