Pokemon finally revealed their updated requirements for the upcoming 2025 Pokemon Championship Series. These updates include regional and IC prizings, lists of locations for events, and also Championship Points updates. The 2025 season will span from July 2024 to May 2024, with the exceptions of the 2025 North America International Championships and the 2025 Pokémon World Championships.
Here are the details of the update:
World Championships Qualification Update
In the 2025 season, Pokemon is changing the requirement for people getting invites to the World Championship. This update will be for the number of players getting their invitation to the World Championship where in 2025, there will be a set number of players from each rating zone, age division, and game that qualifies for an invitation to the World Championships based on their Championship Points leaderboard standings.
Top performers of major events will also earn their invites to the World Championships. The Top 4 finishers of each Internationals will get their invites whereas only Regional and Special Champions will receive an invitation.

Booster Packs and Cash Prizing Update
As a top finisher in a major tournament, players will receive Booster packs for competing in Pokemon TCG, VGC, and GO Championships Events.
