Pokemon Card Game just got a new language, Simplified Chinese (further said Pokemon Card Game China), making it the 12th official language for Pokemon TCG. Their promotional video on BiliBili signalling that their first set will start from the Sun & Moon era, meaning that they will be pretty similar to the Taiwan & Hong Kong version where they start at the Sun & Moon era too. The set will be released on October 28, 2022, and some official partners have already opened for pre-order.

What do you guys think? This is huge because of how the market potential will be and I think it will be a great way to introduce Pokemon to Mainland China. Also, we will have a high chance of meeting them on Worlds 2023! This means that the Asian participants in the upcoming Worlds 2023 will be very huge and it will balance out the participant from the US/LatAm and Europe. I’m very excited about the upcoming Worlds 2023!
