Inteleon vs Cinccino: Picking the Right Engine Today we are going to talk about 2 engines in the current meta, it's Cinccino and Inteleon!

Hello guys, welcome back to another article on pokemoncard.io!

Today we are going to talk about 2 engines in the current meta, it's Cinccino and Inteleon!

Let’s see the cards first from the Inteleon line!

Sobble - 60HP - Rapid Strike (CRE 41)

C - Keep Calling

Search your deck for up to 3 Basic Rapid Strike Pokémon and put them onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck.

Drizzile - 90HP (SWSH 56)

Card Overview

The Inteleon engine is currently the most heavily played in this meta. Its ability to find a Trainer when it evolves to Drizzile is a bit frightening, to be frank about it. Then when it evolves to Inteleon, you can choose 2 Trainer cards (Shady Dealings) or you can choose to evolve it to Rapid Strike Inteleon to snipe the opponent's Pokemon. Even the Rapid Strike Sobble can use its attack to call 3 Basic Rapid Strike Pokemon to the bench.

Now let’s see the cards from the Cinccino line!

Minccino - 70HP (SWSH 145)
C - Glance

Look at the top card of your opponent's deck.

CC - Tail Slap 20x

Flip 2 coins. This attack does 20 damage for each heads.

Cinccino - 90HP (SWSH 147)

Ability - Make Do

You must discard a card from your hand in order to use this Ability. Once during your turn, you may draw 2 cards.

C - Energy Assist 40

Attach a basic Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Benched Pokémon.

Card Overview

On the other hand, the Cinccino line relies heavily on its ability to draw. You discard a card in your hand and draw 2 cards. This seems similar to Zoroark GX but now it's a 1-Prizer so you are a bit safe if it is knocked out.

It is only a stage 1 rather than Inteleon line to be fully utilized you need to evolve it into Inteleon (Stage 2). This card seems good, but the risk of getting a bad hand when using its abilities is a bit high. But since it is a Stage 1 Pokemon, it is using fewer deck spaces so you can utilize more cards for another purpose.

Which One is Better?

If we are following the current meta, we can see that Inteleon line is almost being played in every single game. This may be an indication that the Inteleon line is just effective for the current meta.

Cinccino line, on the other hand, is being played less because, in my opinion, people don’t like uncertainty. Yes, you get an extra draw with it, but the uncertainty unless you are using Oranguru, Rotom Phone, or another top deck card maybe not be quite tempting to be played by people. But the way you discard 1 card to get 2 cards can be used to activate Melony if you discard Water Energy or Flaaffy 'Dynamotor' if you discard Lightning Energy.

I myself still preferred the Cinccino line because it consumes less deck space. But sometimes I still get some bad draws from it. I don’t play Inteleon line because I was getting bricked almost all the time I played it (stuck in Drizzile for most of the turn). But people around me still prefer using the Inteleon line because of its straightness for getting 1 or 2 Trainer cards from the deck. (Maybe Inteleon didn’t like me)

Inteleon line really shifts the meta in this current time. Almost every deck uses it right now, sometimes I even said it is not an X(some Pokemon) featuring Inteleon, but it is an Inteleon featuring X because the main thing that keeping the deck running is the Inteleon line.

Right now, the Inteleon line clearly getting the favor of almost every person who plays. Cinccino line is still a good card but some people don’t want to take the risk of drawing a bad card. But if you want to try experimenting with the Cinccino line you are most welcome to try. You may even surprise the opponent if the opponent doesn’t plan ahead.

Conclusion

So what do you guys think? The Inteleon line clearly is one of the best engines to have right now. But don’t underestimate the Cinccino line, it can be one of the surprise factors if you play your card correctly. Comment down below to share your thoughts!
