Crobat VMAX: Hide and Seek Today I’ll be discussing a really fun deck that may make your opponent scoop even before the game is finished!

Today I’ll be discussing a really fun deck that may make your opponent scoop even before the game is finished!

Here is the example of the deck:

This is just an example, if the deck didn’t work for you, you can try to experiment with it yourself and get comfortable with it.

Deck Overview

You will use Crobat VMAX’s first attack to constantly swap position with your Galarian Weezing to negate the opponent’s Pokemon ability or Altaria to wall out from V Pokemon. In this scenario, Path to the Peak is played even though you bring 4 copies of Crobat V because I think you will only use its ability once or twice in the game.

Crobat VMAX

This is your main attacker, you can easily swap places with your bench if you use your first attack. Also, Crobat V can be used as a drawing power. Then, if you need a big knock out you can slowly attach energy until you can use its second attack. Its second attack can OHKO any Pokemon that is weak to Darkness Type. Also, its retreat cost is cheap so you can retreat manually if you need to.

Galarian Weezing

This is your first swapping option. You can even use Galarian Weezing as your first active attacker since its ability can disrupt your opponent’s gameplay very badly. Also, its first attack is cheap with only 1 energy and you can continuously poison your opponent with 40 damage. But you need to remember that its retreat cost is high (3 energies) and you need to think of some plan if you got stuck on the active spot or use Hiding Energy to easily retreat.

Altaria

This is your second swapping option. You can use Altaria to wall V Pokemon so that you can set up your bench properly. Also if your opponent doesn’t have an answer for your Altaria you can just attack with it until you win the game. Its retreat cost is also cheap so you can play Air Balloon to swap with your Crobat VMAX or Galarian Weezing.

Trainer

In this deck, I play more Marnie than Professor’s Research because we need fewer hands so we can draw more with Crobat V. Also, we can disrupt the opponent’s hand while we play Marnie.

Piers is also in the deck to help if we got stuck with the board as it can search 1 Darkness Type Pokemon and 1 Darkness Energy.

Path to the Peak is played because, in my opinion, you can only play 2 to 3 Crobat V and I don’t think you need the third Crobat V ability since usually your board is already properly set up in the beginning. So after you place your Crobat V, basically there’s no rule box Pokemon anymore and you can play Path to the Peak freely. But you can try to reduce the count and add more items or supporters that may help you.

Spikemuth, in my opinion, can also be a good choice since you can make more damage to your opponent. Your opponent needs to switch their active Pokemon to the bench if it gets poisoned and if they switch it, you will be damaged by Spikemuth. But you need to remember, you can get hurt by Spikemuth too.

Also, if you want your opponent can't heal you can try to play Dyna Tree Hill since some decks bring Cheryl. You don't have any healing items so the Stadium doesn't affect you.

Crushing Hammer or Fan of Waves is also good here because you can wall and disrupt your opponent. You can use Path to the Peak spaces for it.

Capture Energy is also played since you can use it to set up as well. But you need to remember Crobat V's ability cannot be used if you call Crobat V this way.

Matchup

It is straight a bad match if you meet Urshifu deck or other Fighting-type since Crobat VMAX’s weakness is Fighting Type. Also, Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX can snipe your bench as well so it can be a hard matchup for you.

Other than that, you can give your opponent a hard time since you can disable your opponent’s Pokemon ability and make their V/VMAX Pokemon can’t attack. But don’t get happy early, Boss’s Orders and Escape Rope can break your momentum. Also if you don’t play your Galarian Weezing in the active, you can be easily gusted by Umbreon VMAX’s ability.

Crobat VMAX has a low HP for a VMAX Pokemon, you need to be careful with some of the OHKO deck out there. Even Suicune V decks can be hard to fight with.

One thing you need to remember, this deck is not a tier-1 deck since its damage output and all of the Pokemon HP base are a bit low. But if you want to have fun by playing Pokemon TCG, this deck can be a fun deck since almost all decks play Inteleon line right now and it can be hard for them if they cannot play their ‘Shady Dealings’ ability.

Talking about its consistency is unnecessary since you play 4 Crobat V and you can reduce Path to the Peak to make room for some more Crobat V ability to activate.

Conclusion

So what do you guys think? This deck is surely fun to play since you can disrupt your opponent. This deck also can be played by people who are bored playing Inteleon line all the time since Inteleon is almost everywhere now and you can disable their abilities.
